Ok, so imma keep it real with y'all on this page and tell you what I think about all of this. Not being able to transfer non hablar based Pokemon from other regions is honestly a load of horsecrap, and while they may have had reasons to do it, it doesn't mean that they should've done it. One of the reasons the cited for it that REALLY grinds my gears is for the sake of "competative balance" which if you ask me, a dude who has competed in Pokemon events now for 6/7 years straight now, is 100% a load of bullshit. What this essentially means for a meta like this is that you are only allowed to use you find in game for the meta, which is never a good thing. I've always disliked regional dex metas like 2014 and 2017 vgc because they always felt so limited in scope and because they featured less Pokemon there weren't as many natural checks to things. What this leads to is pretty much a power vaccum where 4 Pokemon are at the top, such as mega kang garchomp rotom-wash and talonflame in 2014 or arcanine snorlax garchomp and tapu koko in 2017, and you have a select few others being viable picks while other Pokemon are just forgotten as a whole and never used. One thing I will say that I am happy about, that I know most others aren't, is the complete removal of megas and z moves, which is perfect for the competative players because it creates less muck you have to deal with when trying to teambuild, so that is a small plus for me. I know most people are talking about them not coding in all >900 Pokemon in this game, which I also completely agree with especially now that they are on a whole ass console, but for me I'm more concerned with how this will effect the meta. Will I still buy it?
