Hey guys! Today’s post is a review of @artezaofficial polymer clay. As you can see, the kit comes with an impressive amount of coloured clay, a nice set of tools and some cute finishings. The box is compact, ideal for anyone with little space and on the get go, it looks like an awesome starter set. The clay itself is very soft and easily conditioned straight from the packet. However, as it is so soft, it is also very difficult to manage, proving difficult for small projects. It lost its shape almost immediately and picked up fingerprints easily meaning I had to be particularly careful when handling it. It was also greasy meaning the clay often stuck to my fingers and attracted a massive amount of dust. Funnily, it also seemed to leave coloured residue on my fingers and work surfac, meaning that unwanted splotches of colour stuck to the surface of the charms. However, this hyperpigmentation proved very useful when mixing clay with liquid clay, creating some super pigmented frosting for the unicorn donut. The clay also mixed together easily, meaning with the extensive range of colours, you can mix pretty much any colour imaginable. I did however, find the plastic tools difficult to use, so I ended using my own halfway through. They’re not suited for detailed projects, and honestly, I didn’t know what to use half of them for. The clay itself was easy to bake, coming out of the oven with a pretty semi-matte glow. The colours also remained pretty much the same post bake as it was pre-bake. Overall though, I’d say that this particular product is not for me as it simply does not cater to my needs. I found the clay too difficult to work with, and the tools unhelpful. I would however, recommend this product to children slash teens (with parental supervision of course) who want to experiment and explore their creativity in a 3D format.
