We sometimes look outside of ourselves - to someone or something - to fill voids in our lives and to replace feelings of loneliness and emptiness. Often, this means that we're out of alignment with our higher selves. Instead of turning to external sources for joy and fulfillment, it's important to recognize that our happiness begins with us. In this week's blog, I'm talking about how we can "do the work" to get in complete alignment with the source within. You can watch the full video through the link in my bio!

Finding myself enjoying praying and meditating and feeling gratitude a lot more this year so far.
.
Last year, even with its ludicrous moments, didn’t step on me or rip me apart or make me learn wtf values are or set boundaries like previous years did, slowly building my comprehension around living for my own joy and not for others (it’s a work in progress). And thank God for those lessons because that shit is exhausting!
.
But it did teach me how strong I am/can be, helped me put what I’ve learned about values and trauma and boundaries and healing and voicing for yourself and ambitions (therapy is a blessing btw) and checking in with saying “yes” to others without saying “no” to yourself, all from the year(s) before into practice. Even my partner loved on my soul the other day, sharing that he’s noticed I have a stronger voice now, “she’s a strong one” ☺️ And because of ALL of that, all of the trial and error and tears and laughs and family and friends and coworkers supporting me along the way, I am SO DAMN HAPPY. Like genuinely, simply, filled with gratitude happy.
.
I’m setting new intentions every month this year, different ones every time, to apply and build habits around them. January I’m aiming for daily yoga w prayer&meditation at least once a week. February is all about doing herbalism projects every weekend. So on so on. The daily habits are hard, but each day is new, each year is new, you’re always growing, & for that I am so grateful. Mountains and valleys always bringing me closer to Spirit.
.
What are you grateful for going into this year? Also, peep my new @nahkobear @nahko_and_mftp gift from beany “Don’t waste your hate, rather gather and create! Be of service, be a sensible person, use your words & don’t be nervous. You can do it - you’ve got purpose! Find your medicine and USE IT!” - N&MFTP
