This system is designed such that the room temperature remains constant despite changes in the external temperature. The operation of the system is regulated via a temperature analog measurement device. This device compares the room temperature ceta y with the desired temperature ceta r and transforms the error signal ceta e (i.e., the difference ceta r - ceta y) into a pressure signal. Ancient Miltronics Ultrasonic transmitter repair (attempted). Sadly both the board and the transmitter were faulting (temperature control loop)- which is critical to level measurement with ultrasonics. Primary device (parshall flume) has had a throat modification done so we are going to drop an area velocity meter in front to correlate precise curve to this non-standard flume when installing the new ultrasonic. This stuff is so popular it’s now sold before it even makes it off the bottling line. Today’s challenge was a little modbus networking, the modules and some of the meters just would not talk, so we utilized some analog outputs and had the network guys build some custom tables in the HMI. If you are ever in Louisville and happen to like Bourbon, I highly recommend a tour here, people are just FANTASTIC. Compliance mandated flowmeter failure. Customer said they’d dried out their flooded conduit well, our visual inspection said otherwise. Dried out box and still had some issues, meggered and found that there was a failure in the insulation in another junction between box and controller, tidied that up, calibrated the flowmeter boxed it up and headed home, these Nivelco’s are TOUGH, been shorted out for almost a week and fired right back up. Few things of note: First, @flukecorp for the win again, I almost forget about my meters as they are always there but that’s the beauty, they just work and they make me look like a magician. Second, @revmarkmarker is very cool, while waiting on approval to megger it was brought to my attention that I still haven’t labeled the packs. Problem solved. Third, these vans rock, don’t care what my help thinks. Fourth, why didn’t I get veto sooner?
