One choice - changed my life forever. One year ago today I gave my life to Jesus. If you’ve seen my testimony video, you know that at a young age I had my purity ripped away from me. I was a broken girl just desperate to be put back together, and my decision making skills were slim to none. When I went under that water I felt God speak over me that I was made pure again, but it was my decision whether I would stay that way or not. Today not only marks a year since my baptism... but one whole year of celibacy. I am not going to lie to you and tell you it has been easy. This has honestly been the hardest year of my life. Lust was the monster that hid in my closet at night. I never knew truly how much I was affected by what I went through, until I decided to face it head on. To find yourself, you have to face yourself and I didn’t like what I saw. Over the last year there have been many failures, and many victories. I have battled many demons from my past, and without the strength of my Heavenly Father would have lost to them all. I lost people and things that I thought defined who I was. I got lonely, I got scared, I got sad, I got mad… and then something started to shift. I started to see myself the way He saw me. The trees were greener, the skies bluer, and my heart more full than ever before. The battles I’ve lost show me just how much I depend on God to be the woman I am today. I don’t like who I am without Him, and luckily I don’t ever have to be that girl again. What ever you are facing just know that sin has no control over you, you have control over it. We have to start taking responsibility for the messes we make and allow God to come in and clean them up. He loves you soooo much that He wants to do all of the hard work for you, and then give YOU the victory. That’s what He does for me, even when I don’t deserve it. One decision… one year later. I don’t even recognize myself - and I’m glad ------> I’m no longer a slave to fear, I am a child of God!
