“Imperfect Prince” #NotPerfectButProgressing . 36x48 Mixed media on canvas ••PRINTS AVAILABLE•• . I recently started a new series of purposely unfinished paintings titled “Not Perfect, But Progressing” Each painting consists of a portrait that is thoroughly sketched out with pencil, and then partially painted over with acrylic paint. There will be different levels of realism throughout each individual painting, as well as visible, sketched graphite lines that give viewers a feel for the progression of the piece. . Through this series I wish to convey a message to viewers that not a single person is perfect. And that is okay! A lot of times, I admit that I need that reminder myself. The only thing that matters is that we progress as individuals. When we check our hearts and our actions and fix them on progress instead of perfection, there is no limit to what can be done in our lives. GOD BLESS!

An old friend once told me, “One day, everyone you know will leave your life. Whether they do it willingly, or pass away, in the end the only one you will have is you. So you need to be happy being alone, with the person inside you, before relying on anyone else for your happiness. Cause in the end that’s what truly matters. Your happiness.” I heard those words at 15 years old and 10 year later, I live by it everyday. It helps me practice gratitude for all of my hardships, my successes, the people in my life and the music that has given me purpose. This positive energy has made my life, my relationships, and my music so much more meaningful and enjoyable. Because I know if everyone in my life were to leave right now, I would be still be happy. Because I’ve worked so hard to love the person I am when I am alone. I used to hate him, but now I love that person beyond words. All the negativity has become quiet, all the hate has turned into mumbles. Just by putting in the work, just by making the right choices to look in the mirror, admit mistakes, realizing no ones perfect, understanding where your bliss grows in you. You have to be Fake, to be real. Hope you all have an amazing Sunday, relax and take a break after this wild week. You deserve it ☔️
