A good makeup setting powder changes the whole makeup game!
Right or wrong A celebrity MUA has said- setting powder helps to set the makeup. Foundation when applied is moist. The powder acts as a barrier to pollution and other factors to keep makeup last longer.
So if you are using wet makeup i.e. cream/liquid foundation/BB cream or tinted moisturiser you need a setting powder.
But you need a very finely milled powder to avoid dry and flaky skin. I was using a translucent powder before but it used to make my skin dry.
@gosharabia Banana powder is working perfect for me in this dry summer. It mattifies the skin for long hours. Its a 2 in 1 product. Not only it acts as a mattifying powder but also as a primer! Though I did not use it as primer. As I find it confusing to use powder as primer. Well it sets under eye makeup amazingly. The yellow colour suits my skin tone. But it may not work that well with lighter skin tones. Otherwise it is an amazing setting powder. It blurs the imperfections and gives a smooth finish. Sometimes it is said it is better than Laura Mercier.
