Happy #friyay Guys! ••• So the other day I got curious and attempted something different. I styled my wash and go on mostly dry hair‍♀️. It was a complete fail, as you can probably tell by the white cast it left on my hair. I think it’s mostly due to my low porosity strands. My hair needs warm water to help work product in properly. Usually my wash and gos last me at least a week or more but my hair is way too flakey to last another day and it’s only day 4. So I thinks it’s fair to say I’ll never be using this technique again‍♀️ ••• PROS: My air drying time went from 2+ hours to less than an hour. I experienced a lot less shrinkage, and more volume at the roots (which I like) I was able to manipulate my hair and control the way I wanted it to fall much more easily. CONS: It took a while for the product to work into my hair. My hair was extremely flakey and has a white cast. Hair doesn’t feel moisturized and is a lot more prone to frizz. ••• A healthy clean scalp is crucial for healthy hair growth so a clarifying wash is definitely needed this week. ••• How do you clarify your hair to get rid of buildup and how often do you clarify in your regimen?
