Hello everyone! This is my last pickup, a very nice Gameboy Color lot for 40 bucks, a very good bargain don’t you think? Would you have picked it up? The instruction manuals are the cherry on top! When i was (very) young i owned the original grey brick styled Gameboy and i remember playing it in my parents car after sunset, waiting for the next lamppost on the road to be able to see my character in Killer Instinct for Gameboy or D.K. on Donkey Kong Land :). Did you have the same experience? Did you actually play Pokémon on the original Gameboy? I didn’t knew about the game at the time or it would have a big impact on me for sure! . So I hit 8k followers, and while follower count has been touch and go lately, I think I'm over that Mark to stay.....so thank you so much for that. My post is a story...a story about this game right here....the story of why I'm a greedy person who never lends out my games. . . When Chrono Trigger came out I was in love. The graphics, music, gameplay, everything was amazing to me. I played through multiple times, bought the strategy guide to figure out how to get all the endings, and would talk about this one to anyone that would listen to me. A friend at school showed interest in this game, so I brought the mint, CIB game to school to let her borrow..... . . Months later, as the school year was ending I wanted my game back. We were at her house, and she mentioned her brother had been playing....we found the cartridge....had to search a while...found the manual (with crumpled corners) in the bottom of a drawer...found the two poster/maps....and that was all. Nintendo inserts....box..... strategy guide....all lost. This was my first betrayal of a borrowed game. My second came years later when my now husband, then just college classmate, lost my copies of Final Fantasy and StarTropics...yet somehow didn't lose the boxes. Strike 3? After YEARS of not trusting anyone borrowing games I was convinced to let a neighbor borrow an Xbox 360 game......that was 7 years ago and I haven't seen it since...and we've moved. So yes, I refuse to let people borrow games. . . As for Chrono Trigger...I finally found another box about 4 years ago. A member of a local gaming group knew I was looking for one and found it for me (thank-you!!!)....the cost was high...but worth it to have it complete again...and the Strategy Guide came from our local gaming convention @gameonexpo a couple years back. . . So....do you trust anyone with your game collection?
