Usually the first cleanse in my AM #skincareroutine is cleansing water but in the summer when my skin feels a bit more grimy, I’ll use a light cleanser. Recently, I’ve been testing the #ThankYouFarmer Back to Pure Daily Foaming Gel Cleanser* ______ It uses cocamidopropyl betaine (derived from coconut oil) that is a milder surfactant for cleansers. I think because of this, it doesn’t strip my skin. The pH is low and it foams to the point where there’s some light suds but not any substantial volume. I think it also helps to make the foam on the palm of your hands first, not by rubbing on your face. After cleansing, my skin just feels purified and refreshed, not tight and dry. ______ This product includes the usual round of botanical extracts that many people love - centella asiatica and licorice root but in a wash off product I think that matters less. Again, like most Thank You Farmer products, strong fragrance remains an issue. This one has a generic fresh botanical scent that is a bit overwhelming at first but less bothersome as I continue to use and maybe become nose blind. ______ For my sensitive and friction averse skin, I’ll always prefer a milk or cream type cleanser but I think this would be a good low ph option for normal to oily skintypes. _____ *Gifted for review, thanks @thankyoufarmer! Swatch Saturday - revolution pro : mischief maker ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ - gorgeous range of colours, richer versions of rainbow palettes which are easier to wear. ⁣ - Definitely cool toned overall ⁣ - Mainly shimmers; most of which are pigmented. There are some which are weaker (eg a turquoise) but the khaki is a firm favourite ⁣ - Don’t blend as nicely as the chocolate palettes, so I’d always recommend them first! Selfie Sunday ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Not feeling the purge this week, my forehead (ironically where I never get much acne) is very cystic. My confidence is not doing well⁣ ⁣ ⁣ It’s also been my nieces first birthday, hence photos. I look back and think, wow that looks worse than I thought.
