We are quick to blame external circumstances and when you do this you are saying ‘there is nothing I can do about it’⠀ ⠀ If you are brave enough to take 100% responsibility for where you are in life you automatically step into an empowered position to change. Here are some things you can do about this:⠀ ⠀ 1️⃣ Become aware of your beliefs. How are you describing your dream to people? Do you say things like: “not sure if it will work out but..“, “don’t laugh but.. “, “I know I am not the smartest but..”⠀ ⠀ These are signs that you don’t truly believe you are worthy or deserving of it in the first place. So your subconscious is going to do everything in its power to prove that belief. And hey, it is ok — your now is not your forever. You have choices and an ambitious spirit.⠀ ⠀ 2️⃣ Become the person you would be if you had that already. What would that person do every day? How would you carry yourself? What would you say? How would you say it? Who you are is more important than what you do. So aspire not to have more but to BE more. If you want something, become it first.⠀ ⠀ 3️⃣ Take action to prove yourself you can do it. Thinking or reading about abs doesn’t get you abs... right? Same here. You gotta take small steps each day towards your goal. Consistent small and simple action leads to great results. The more you do, the more you will realise you can do. Remember: Where you are in life is a reflection of your beliefs, thoughts, and habits. Don’t like something? You can start changing it at any time. Science has proven you can rewire your brain and develop new beliefs, habits, personality traits at any point in your life. It is up to you. You have choices — evolve or repeat, change or blame. ☄️⚡️

If I would’ve listened to others... . ✖️I would have NOT ran for class president in high school and gone on to win two consecutive years after that. . ✖️I would NOT have gone across the country for college and experienced interning on Capitol Hill or meeting Michelle Obama. . ✖️I would have NOT competed for Miss Greater Bay Area with one weeks notice and end up winning the prelim which led me to Miss California. . ✖️I would have NOT quit my full time job and gone on to launch a podcast because staying would’ve been “safer”. . ✖️I would have NOT joined a multi level marketing company because it’s “just a pyramid scheme” and would have never met some of the greatest people who are such bad ass women. . You see. In EVERY single one of these decisions, there was someone in my inner circle speaking AGAINST it. Not from hate, but out of concern. They were projecting their own fears onto me because they cared. Does that mean they were right? HELL NO. Because I made the choice to do all of these things anyway and those fears that they had quickly dismantled because I took action anyway. . I call this TRAILBLAZING⚡️. . By choosing to go against the grain and going with my gut, doing what I feel is right for ME... I’m setting the example and destroying those fears that others once projected onto me. It’s sad that so many people I know are heavily influenced by those opinions and end up living their life according to them. But that’s why I’m here. & that’s why I started The Head Honcha Podcast. I’m showcasing not only my own journey, but the stories of OTHER trail blazing women who are taking their own unique paths despite popular opinion so together we can DESTROY the limiting beliefs that others have placed on us & INSPIRE another women to take action. . Oh butter wouldn’t melt on these two. . Meet blackberry, the Shetland, she is as old as me, and has THE best character. One, she won’t be caught by men, and two, she makes her own decisions - for example - I was about 8, and thought it would be an excellent idea to wash her tail, I was minding my own business following all the rules and then bam, she kicks out and I go flying across the yard. I never washed her tail again. She now spends her time teaching other little people how to ride, she has a heart of gold and will forever be my dream pony. . Meet Thunder, I bought him on a whim, the person before had only had him for 4 months before selling (immediate alarm bells to anyone with a brain!) but I saw him over the stable door and that was that. I really needed him in my life. Oh boy, by month 5, I had fallen off 3 times, hung around the falling off moment about 50 times and was seriously doubting myself. I was going to sell him, but to sell him, I had to get a series of photos and get him a reputation - SO - I took him hunting and OH MY WORD, he became a different horse, standing when asked, jumping anything in front of him and changing my whole entire world. I took his falling over in the lorry, chasing me in the field, biting and dropping me whilst out hacking any day. This horse knew his job. I had the best 3 years of my life hunting him. He was put down in 2016 because of irreparable ligament damage. But he was the horse that simultaneously killed and built my confidence with horses.
