"Remember when you wanted what you currently have" You've probs seen that quote bouncing around IG before but this week I was having a lovely chat with @erinsummer_ about creativity, art, Harry Potter, dogs... amongst other things! We started talking about careers and she said the most lovely, beautiful thing to me on having a busy calendar of work: "that's so awesome! You're living the creative life and selling your work! That is the dream! I'm so pleased for you!" It made me cry a little (of course it did - I'm a walking emosh ninny most days! ) But it reminded me to take stock of what I'm doing and where my career as an artist is JUST NOW.. I'm always looking forward and thinking of ways to develop my art, my business.. but it was such a beautiful and kind comment which reminded me that where I am right now is just perfect too. And the feeling of contentment and happiness is so special! What's going on in your life RIGHT NOW that you are thankful for?

Yesterday Creamie and I dyed over 100 Easter eggs. We just use regular Paas dye tabs, and we dye our eggs raw because no one likes cold boiled eggs at our house. Now my fridge is full of dozens of pretty eggs that will make their way into cookies and cakes and omelettes over the next two weeks. We’ve been dying raw eggs for a couple of years now and it’s the best thing ever. She has never even cracked one. And my favorite part is there is zero prep time. This was my first piece in which I incorporated a repeating pattern for, been in love with the effect ever since! This piece also is currently being held on display at @pacha_moma located in Irapuato, Mexico. The contemporary museum is filled with numerous works from visionary artists around the world.
