Over the past couple of weeks I’ve REALLY tried to get in to the routine of waking up early to get my workout in ☀️☕️ Instead of sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, sometimes after work, etc. For me, having consistency & structure gives me more freedom. I am more productive overall and just feel better when I get my workout done first thing. Some tips that I’ve found helpful in doing this are... . . . 1. Early bedtimes! Seems easy enough. But it’s not always, it really does require discipline to finish everything I need to finish before 9-10pm. Oddly I’ve found that getting my kitchen cleaned immediately after dinner has helped me to get to bed earlier ‍♀️ 2. Setting out my workout clothes the night before so all I have to do is hop out of bed and grab my clothes. Zero extra thought required. Fun & bright outfits are an added bonus 3. Have a banana with peanut butter first thing. I think it’s because I love peanut butter so it’s motivating enough to get me out of bed 4. Not looking at my phone at all. This makes everything go quicker. I’m not sidetracked with emails or IG or texts first thing. I just focus on getting out the door ASAP . . . Today I was able to get out the door only 15 minutes after my alarm went off. This may seem not that impressive but ... it takes me forever to do all things. So. Doing just about anything in 15 minutes is like a miracle for me I’d love to hear from the veteran early morning risers - what are your tips & tricks to getting up and out the door as fast as possible?! . . . This week is week number ✌ of the #tightertogether challenge I’ve been doing with @madeline_moves. I’ve kept 1-2 runs per week in addition to the strength/HIIT training which feels good to me right now. I’m enjoying the heavier lifting and feeling stronger which is SUCH a good feeling I know this will pay off come my Fall marathon training cycle! . . . First morning #runcommute without a coat! Still long sleeves, 4°C but I felt light weighted! (this is a locker picture ) I got lost in the neigborhood trying a new path to my job. why do I always get lost in neigborhoods but not in trails? Hahaha does this happens to you ? . #badtownrunner . . Première course matinale pour se rendre au travail sans manteau! Juste à manches longues! 4°C mais je me suis sentie légère ! (Photo de vestiaire). Je me suis encore perdue dans un quartier résidentiel en essayant un nouveau chemin pour aller au travail! Pourquoi est-ce que je me perds si souvent en ville mais jamais en trail? Est-ce que ça vous arrive aussi?
