Same hair in 4 different lightings! from sun up till sunset: all natural lighting. Can you imagine that? I have clients who come in asking for a specific color, even as far as pointing out sections on the picture. That’s just not realistic, unfortunately. When you go home in your bathroom mirror, when you are in direct sunlight, when you are in florescent lighting, your hair will look different! There are a 100 different shades of Carmel and they will all look warmer or cooler in different lighting. Most times you see ash hair in a picture, it is ALOT warmer in person. As you can see in these photos, lighting also changed the look of the hair, giving a matte or shine finish. There are many things to take into consideration when looking at hair photos. Is it photoshopped? How will it look in everyday lighting? Am I going to style it like the photo? How does it look straight? Ect... Hair photos are the best possibly lighting, styling, and angle possible. They are only meant to be an idea of what you are looking for, never will you get the exact result. Especially depending on the current state of your own hair. Is your hair colored? Is it too dark to be lightened that much? Is it damaged? Is it porous? Ect... I could go on forever, but remember to never get stuck on a picture.
