As you can see by the picture, if a vole, elk or coyote population were to shrink or disappear, I would struggle to find food. When parks shrink and are replaced with homes and humans, animals are forced to move. Not only do they effect the top predator, but they can also effect the primary and secondary consumers and cause a ripple effect. If they move, animals such as the vole might no longer have predators to eat them. National Parks do not only contain wildlife and scenery, but they are also full of many artifacts and relics from old tribes, villages and any people that used to live there or currently live there now. With the loss of this land, these artifacts could continue to go undiscovered and take away land that was lived on by many of these people’s ancestors.
