7 HEALTHY SNACK IDEAS . Tag a friend who is always hungry and loves snacking, double tap and save for later! . These are some of my all time favorite go-to snacks and when I tell you I snack a lot, I mean it. My colleagues at work know that I snack a lot and have a whole shelf dedicated to snack‍♀️, I take snacks very very seriously . 1️⃣ A veggie and fruit platter with some popcorns and cheese- I like to add some radishes, celery, watermelons, grapes, strawberries, some @angiesboomchickapop popcorns, and some cheese cubes for a satisfying snack. This will never disappoint you. Just add your veggies and fruits, crackers and some cheese slices or popcorns. 2️⃣ Protein balls- You know how much I love these. You can customize the ingredients to suit your taste buds. I sweat it takes ~ 20 mins to make 30 of these. Go check out the recipe on my blog (link in bio) and make your own 3️⃣ Smoooooothie- Another fave because its versatile, filling and a great way to sneak in some veggies if you don’t like to eat yo veggies raw. My fave combo is banana, blueberries, handful of kale/spinach with some almond milk. 4️⃣ @perfectbar - enough said These are sooooo good and have 20g of proteins per serving, the almond butter flavor tastes like badaam mithai My favorites are almond butter and dark chocolate almond. 5️⃣ Yogurt bowl with berries, granola and nut butter drizzle- I love this combo as my late night dessert. 6️⃣ @oikosprotein with some veggies- I have been religiously having oikos yogurt for the last 2+ years and I swear by it. It has NO added sugars, has 15g of proteins per serving and tastes yummmm! I keep these in my office refrigerator and have them as afternoon snacks every single day. 7️⃣ Chia pudding- Another great snack idea with 3 ingredients only. Mix 2tbs chia seeds, half cup milk and a splash of honey, heat it and let it sit for 30 mins. Top it with your favorite berries and nuts. . What is your favorite snack? Throw⬅️ to the last weekend when it was all fun in the sun ☀️ and family time . I want to say that this is how I feel right now but my reality is more like the next picture- BLOATED AF (TOM does that to me‍♀️) . This past week has been less organized than usual (in terms of meals, workouts and goal setting) because my parents are visiting me after 2 years and I have not meal prepped in two weeks. . I will get back to my regular routine of workouts and meal prepping from next weekend. Till then I am gonna enjoy mom-made meals, skipped workouts, unplanned snacking, more than one dessert in a day and my time with them . I, however, believe in setting goals for each month. This month’s goals are going to be more about meals. You might know that I am reading Womancode by @alisa.vitti and loving it. So, starting next weekend I will be following the meals that she recommends in her book. I highly recommend checking @floliving and her book for anyone who suffers from #PCOS or any hormonal issues. Fortunately, I do not have anything like that but I still feel knowing what I should eat for balancing my hormones are gonna help me in long run . Did you guys set your June goals? A lot can change with strength training. I weigh approximately the same in both pictures but my clothes fit totally different! . In the left, I was focused on dieting, restricting calories, restricting eating outside, and no exercise. I would weigh myself every single morning and feel bad if my weight went up by a kg. . On the right, I am focused on an active lifestyle, nourishing my body, a healthier mindset when it comes to food (not perfect yet, but getting there). I got rid of my scale two years back and never looked back. I am focused on rest, eating whole foods and listening to my body. I eat outside 4-5 times a month but mostly prefer home-cooked meals. I am not afraid of weights and like to break a @sweat more often than not. . I do not lift heavy weights yet, but I do feel strength training with moderate weights like in #BBG program by @kayla_itsines , using resistance bands when possible, HIIT and LISS trainings do make a lot of difference to how your body looks. She says- “While I’m not suggesting that 400 calories is a good amount for a snack, it’s important to know just how many calories can be hidden in one of our favourite snacks- a muffin! Happy #facetofacefriday people . Instead of thinking all the reasons why it won’t work, think of one reason WHY you want it, be consistent and let the Universe guide you✨ . In Nov 2016, I was randomly scrolling through weightloss transformations on IG and came across a woman named Andrea. She had an amazing #bbgtransformation and I was surprised she wasn’t promoting a weightloss tea for once So, I quickly stalked some of the BBG girls’ profiles and thought I will think about it after my wedding in Dec 2016. At that time, I was walking (5-10k steps), restricting calories (read starving myself), and weighing myself every single morning feeling miserable if my weight went up by a pound! . Anyway, I took that as a sign from the Universe that I needed to start taking care of myself. I started #BBG in Jan 2017 as an impromptu decision after Sweat came with a 12 weeks challenge. To be honest, it was a chore in the beginning. . . There was no magic as I expected!! . . I did not get abs after 12 weeks!! . In fact, I did not even get closer to what I saw on some transformation pictures. . And I thought its okay. I will keep going NO MATTER WHAT! . . I think May 2017 is when I eventually started I enjoy training and nourishing myself. . Things that I had to force myself to do in the beginning- drinking enough water, eating more greens, having less refined sugar, and walking became my routine, and a part of my daily habits and I do them effortlessly (on most days) now. . So, Andrea, if you are reading this, I want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for poppin in my feed and giving me the boost I needed!! . So, if you are seeing this post, and are stuck, waiting for a sign, this is it!! I am here to tell you to START TODAY. Start small. Do what you can. Small changes add up. Don’t rush into things.
