So I've been meaning to post all week, but with a barely functioning phone and a nasty stomach bug it's been hard! - - Prom (ish) 2019- Neither Bumblebee or I felt ready for prom this year, so I just went to pre-prom pictures with friends. This was just after a very unpleasant meltdown, so the pictures are of me and Bumble doing DPT on the ground in a prom dress, but it's ok, I don't mind; it's more representative of where we are at this point than a more "peppy" picture would be. - - - Additionally, we've just been training and practicing; she's almost reached 6 and a half months and it shows in her less-than-stellar ability to focus right now, so I've mostly been sticking to pet friendly places while we struggle through the early stages of adolescence. - - That being said, we did go for about 20 minutes to a school event! (before it started) We didn't do much but sit on the edge and practice ignoring people, but it was good for Bumble and also good for other people to learn not to bother her, as next school year she'll probably come to school a bit (of course not all day, only what she can handle!). _ - As I was recovering from my stomach flu, I made BB a new gear set! The vest is actually too big (see last photo) but that's fine cause she's growing. I'm definitely improving in sewing, though it's still quite sloppy by shop standards. However I'm having fun and trying shapes and styles! This one was focused on staying cool and having removable straps. - - Bumble's also mastered a new tast and started learning two more! I am SO glad today is Thursday! I have class tonight and then get to relax a little bit this weekend. This week was really stressful and rough. My body has been even more drained than usual. But I’m super excited because aside from Vasko’s birthday on Saturday, we get to go to a Dodgers game on Sunday! Our dogs start their training at a young age, 8 weeks, which helps to set them up for a successful working career. They are able to pick up commands like sit, down, stand, touch, and shake pretty easily at this age. Training also allows the puppy raiser to bond with their new dog through the one-on-one quality time they are spending together. Through lots of repetition and treats, they learn to love their training very quickly! It’s a great feeling to see a new command click with a puppy for the first time!

End of the semester Weekend Pupdate! Duck (1 year 2 months) celebrated his Gotcha Day with his raiser, and looked back at how small he used to be! Cleo (8 months) attended church for the first time and stayed quiet and out of the way the whole time! Mushu (8 months) helped his raiser study and had lots of time staying settled in the library! Pongo (8 months) went home with one of his raisers and did great in the car ride! Gaston (8 months) helped his raiser study for finals and spent lots of time in Hillman too! Mowgli (8 months) is staying with one of his sitters for a little bit while his is out of town! Lilo (8 months) got to play outside and run around when the weather was nice!
