Loved creating this for @itsamandafelix • When she emailed me regarding the design she explained how this record was about the mental wars people face every day as well as the war in the world with violence (guns, fighting,etc.) and the war our soldiers face in battle and out of it.To surrender the wars against one another and represent love and peace. . . ABOUT THE DESIGN: Everything in the artwork was very symbolic, I used the actual "fallen angel" statue behind Amanda, and I only opened up the top portion of his head and had it destroyed with locust insects flying out of it to represent the mental war aspect she described. I chose locust specifically because they represent devastating natural disasters, and it says they have been feared and revered throughout history and that even in the book of exodus locusts are one of the 10 plagues that were delivered. It was just the most perfect way to illustrate the darkness that’s locked up in someone's mind and I wanted to show that fallen angel having all of those things being released from within his head. Now for the actual guns, I wanted to have them each cut up/ broken into pieces rather than all perfectly put together. Really enjoyed creating this VHS “Upside Down” style Flyer/animated design for the homie @djbrucki 1. It was a Stranger Things theme (my favorite) and 2. I was able to come up with a retro style design (and I loooooove when I get to create anything with a nostalgic feel) and last but not least 3. Brucki always trust me with his artwork, he doesn’t just say he trust me (like he ACTUALLY DOES TRUST ME) so I had full control of the direction of his artwork which as a creative couldn’t have made me any happier . . •• Swipe for the animated version••

“Stalked by demons, guarded by angels” . . Album cover I created for @gillgraff • Been doing so many covers every week, I got so much I want to post for yall lol But I really enjoyed putting this design together. My goal was to really create something that catches your attention and because the character is so tiny in the image, I was able to show the massive size of what’s surrounding him. There’s just something about this one that I really love, because it has a very timeless look. There’s too much art out there that over time, you could tell when it was made because artwork is a lot like fashion in that sense. You’ll know what year it was created just from how it’s put together, that’s why I always want my covers to be the complete opposite of that and appear more like photographs. When you look at putting an album cover design together that way, it actually makes the viewer really FEEL something every time they look at it, so that’s why I wanted this particular cover to be this exact way. . . www.millzgraphixx.com
