This was one of the most delightful consults I have ever had, for @buildingbondsproject ! Little Olive has some complex needs, she isn’t able to sit or stand unaided and has a cochlear implant. She came with her parents to find a carrier that would work well for her needs. She adores seeing the world and has one of the most gorgeous laughs I’ve ever seen.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here she is delightfully enjoying her own reflection in the mirror in the Ergobaby that now belongs to them.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Dad takes her to gentle dance classes (@dancelikeamother) which she loves. I showed them how to back carry: yes you can back carry children if they can’t sit unaided when you know how to do it safely. Many of the “rules” about babywearing are often disempowering and create greater disadvantages. Easter holidays in West Cork - so went to Mizen Head. So fabulous and we were very lucky with the weather. So glad to have a sling too as it would have been so much harder with the buggy though the 99 steps at the end did nearly kill me! We had our picnic in the car when we arrived, did our sightseeing and finished with coffee (me) and ice cream (the other two), baby R had to content himself with some milk and a nap. Delighted with our @maxomorra_official hoodies that kept both kids nice and snug and I’ve to say this @hatley raincoat Ava has is just brilliant. All from the lovely @rainbowkidsboutique of course! New Blog Post! What makes a carrier easy to use? What do you find makes one carrier easy to use than another? I find this topic really fascinating as i used to have all these "rules" and ideas on what made sometging easy and then someone who come alomg and prove me wrong. For instance earlier this week I had a lovely sleepy deprived client desperate for something that was super easy ... she tried 2 that i find really easy but she just found them too fiddly... instead the easiest for her was the one I personally avoid because I find it way too fiddly and over engineered! Which is why i find easyiness fascinating. I used to this ease was definable but i have come to realise it is really subjective!
