PLASTIC FREE SOAPS ... One of the easiest plastic free swaps we’ve made as a family is to soap bars. I totally love the @wildsageandco soaps and have really enjoyed trying out the whole range!! Wild Sage and Co use both the cold process and super-fatting process methods when making their soaps. This allows them to keep the free oils and the naturally occurring glycerine in their soaps and is what makes them so exceptionally moisturising. There’s a soap for everyone and for those with sensitive skin or with little ones we have the pure and simple Olive Oil and Mama and Baby Soaps. All soaps are Vegan, Palm Oil Free and 100% natural (no parabens or artificial fragrances are used in these soaps). They’re also plastic free, wrapped in recycled paper. Star Anise has finally been remade! Thank you to all who voted on whether I should put gold on the top again. Seventy five percent of you voted in favor of gold, however I made it in a loaf mould instead of a slab mould so there will be just a simple black and white itp swirl on the face of the bar, my way of trying to compromise. So this bar features fresh raw organic goat's milk, organic cream, unrefined shea butter, organic olive oil, organic coconut oil, and activated charcoal plus essential oil of anise. Earth Day. Soap is just one of the ways in which I am saddened by how we have changed our behaviour as a society because of large companies telling us what we need. I actually heard someone ask where the soap was the other day. While staring at a bar of soap. I have had people use the liquid dish detergent in my kitchen on their skin, rather than a nourishing handmade bar - just because it wasn't in a pump format. Customers have been disappointed that I don't sell body wash because that's all they use in the shower, because of a misguided belief that it is better for them. How long have soap pumps and other plastic disposable bottles even been around? Yet it seems that people are uncomfortable using a bar of soap, something that has been around since about 2800 BC... That we know of! So this Earth Day I invite you to reduce your plastic waste and ditch your soap pumps. Replace them with a bar of soap instead. Don't listen to companies telling you that perceived convenience is worth purchasing plastic that kills the earth and a product that is diluted with water and other chemicals. Soap bars are a great zero waste option that eliminates the need for plastic hand washes, shower gels and shampoo. Soap is also really cost effective, produced making natural ingredients (a much better option for people with sensitive skin) and available in an almost endless amount of scents! . These soaps are made by a local maker @suntreesoaps and honestly they look and smell good enough to eat (I wouldn’t actually recommend eating the soap ). . These amazing soaps will be available in our online store when we launch at the end of this month, with at least 10% of all profits going towards eco charities helping to protect the environment.
