Stem cells are the progenitors of all cells in the body, they differentiate, or become, cells in the body. The theory behind Regenerative medicine is that we can inject these stem cells into a location to help heal and regenerate the cells in that area. The injection into the disc is done under xray guidance while the patient is made comfortable with sedation and local anesthetic medication at the injection site. I came across this quote that has been stuck in my head that stated, “Money is no longer the root of all evil, attention is.” When you think about it, this is quite deep. In this day of social media, this couldn’t be more true. We spend so much time worrying about obtaining more followers. We define our self worth and likability by how many people double tap on a given post. We spend so much time seeking attention from strangers that we lose site of our true purpose and what’s important in life. I started posting on IG a year ago to give people a little insight into my world and hopefully inspire the uninspired. Yes...we all like some attention at times. We all want to feel admired. There’s nothing wrong with that. In my world, my brother @huntnsurg and I have to give the “best performance” of our lives on a daily basis. In these moments, we are truly performing for an audience of 1 who just happens to be asleep and will never get to see how the “show” unfolds. Even though the “theater” may be full of “stage hands, set designers and production assistants”, they are all there for that one purpose...to help the Hunt Brothers put on an amazing show for that audience of 1. That patient goes to sleep knowing that when the performance is over, they will be able to say it was worth the price of admission. I am always humbled by that trust placed in us. I will always seek attention from and put on my best performance for that audience of 1. Find your purpose. Know your worth.
