Watch me #SprayTan myself! . Y’all asked. I delivered. The number one question I get from clients + fellow spray tan professionals is... “Can You Tan Yourself?” Heck yes, girl! ☀️ . Here are some of my top tips to get your tan as perfect as possible if you’re tanning solo! . When spraying yourself or using a self-tanner, ALWAYS start at the bottom of the bod and work your way up to avoid risking skin-to-skin contact and transfer of product. I also like to have two hands on my gun to better control my spray pattern movement. I know the backside is most difficult... Since you’re not able to see where you’re spraying, it’s all about using your feelers! Be sure to angle the gun so you can feel the air hitting your low back then slightly pull the gun trigger and work your way up. Make sure to complete the series of (super awkward) poses, twice! This ensures that you’ve sprayed all areas thoroughly and have even coverage. After you’re done, wipe off palms + heels with a baby wipe and use a finishing powder to set your fresh tan while you continue to develop. . Now, I will say this self-spraying method isn’t nearly as effective when compared to getting airbrushed by a professional. (Obvi). I’ll be the first to tell you how often I miss certain areas and WISH that I had someone to tan me. It. Truly. Makes. A. Difference. . Appreciate your airbrush tanning artist, friends. Tanning yourself ain’t easy.
