1ST TIME IN MY LIFE! • I hit heavy Squats EVERY DAY ‍♂️ • 5️⃣ Today was Day 5 of Squat Every Day We go hit it sometime after 7PM and the addiction is kicking in now, where come 6:30, my body starts craving that heavy weight (heavy for me... relax in advance, tough guys) ⬆️This is my last set, I didn’t push for a weight PR today, I just hit my 365 smooth; and then backed off to hit 315lbs for 5 solid reps to Lock it in. ‍♂️Who is squatting with us? Of course we have to remember that people should learn when movements ARE tolerable WITHOUT making compensations due to pain, not feeling immediately fearful of minor presences of symptoms.⁣ ⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That being said, for this week’s application we thought we would share a progressive overload scheme for training around knee pain as this is a condition often seen in clinic! While we’ve shown a variety of exercises that increase in demand on the knee joint, a variety of remaining exercises may be supplemented along the continuum. Why I shouldn’t be your abspiration - I’m currently working on building mass and up 10lbs from this time last year. Yet I still have a six pack? This is because I generally carry less weight around my midsection. It’s genetics. It could be easy to sell a program saying get abs like me! But that would be misleading. I train heavy which has built a strong core and I don’t carry fat around the midsection which shows it off. Training someone exactly like me likely wouldn’t give the same results. However I am a physical therapist and strength coach who has never experienced back pain while training. For those reasons you should listen to my core advice! #brainsandbrawn
