First time back on board Hetty after her time off, and it was prefect. This was the horse that was hiding under the pain and discomfort. We where on a walk day after the eventing completion. We walked a very long time. I just talked to Prince the whole time. It’s like he knows what I say and he can listen so good! Sometimes he was breathing loud or shaking his head a bit. He was so cute to look at. On a big field we stopped and I let him eat a bit of the grass down to his feet’s. Smiling I watched him, breathed deeply in and deeply out. I was happy and proud. The competition yesterday was good. We won the 5th place and I think that is pretty good for our first event! His head pushed my upper leg, brought me out of my thoughts. I put my hand on his head and started whispering.... “You’re the pony which is holding me when I am down, you’re the pony I can trust in every single moment, you’re the reason why I have so much energy to take care for the things I love, you’re my one and only and I will always love you” hmm yeah sometimes I act a bit over. A bit late, but happy Pride Month! Here’s Mr Tall, Dark, and Handsome and I decked out in our special pride gear. I would’ve liked to find some with the lesbian flag colors, but it appears the market doesn’t extend that far. Anyway, look how relaxed he was after a nice long jump school! After the Soulmate Show (which, I honestly still can’t believe we won. I have no idea how we pulled that one off.), I decided to pull back and really spend time developing both Dabi and Ace’s muscles and skills. Looks like our favorite giant has really been benefitting—he’s less of a twig than he used to be! He’s also more supple and responsive, though he still has his moments. One second, he’s going along beautifully, the next he freezes up like his brain short-circuits. Next thing I know, I’m either flying through the air or just barely hanging onto the saddle. Once he snaps out of it, it’s like nothing ever happened. It’s weird, almost like he gets flashbacks to... something. I’ll figure this big lug out someday. Apologies for going a bit MIA for the past... month? Almost two months? I became way too focused on the horses and training, and kind of abandoned everything else. Oops.
