Each spring I try to create something purely for the joy of creating beauty. This spring, my idea was a little larger than what I usually take on myself, so I approached JJ with @soeventful to see if she was interested in joining me. Even though she had just wrapped up a huge project, and I knew she’d likely be too busy, I also knew that there was no one else I wanted to work with. Not only did she agree to take on the project with me, but she was completely in sync with my original ideas, jumped right into planning, and was constantly contributing additional ideas and suggestions that I adored! That’s what it’s like working with a fabulous wedding planner, and I can’t say enough about the difference it will make in your wedding experience! It takes a village, y’all, especially during wedding season! I was so thankful to be able to be there for the tail end of our family trip to the bay, and their matching smiles did not disappoint! Ok, they weren’t really running to me out of joy of my arrival, but they were definitely THAT happy to run across the beach for no reason, and that’s something I was overjoyed to capture. There are more silly peeks into our travels in my story, including exactly what a photographers son looks like when he’s tired of the camera. Have a great day, friends!

Last night I witnessed these two join their futures and it was the most heartfelt, family centered display of love that I could imagine. I couldn’t be happier for Lynette and Mike, or for their families who celebrated just as joyously.

Today my baby turns 3 and my mama heart is bursting! I don’t talk about Dylan’s journey very often, but he’s been my little fighter since day 1. Last year at his second birthday we were overjoyed that he was taking his first steps. This year he is running, riding his balance bike, and starting to climb stairs. This CP journey has been quite the adventure, and I am so thankful for his therapy team that has helped me navigate the twists and turns. Unfortunately today we say goodbye to them, which has me feeling all the feels, but they’ve set him (and me) up for success as he continues to grow in strength and skills. To say I’m proud to be this kid’s mama is a serious understatement. Thanks for letting me brag on him and all his hard work for a bit! Happy Birthday buddy! Today is my oldest’s last day of preschool, and while I’m excited for the end of the school year chaos to subside a bit, I am also in complete disbelief that we now have a kindergartner on our hands (not to mention little brother is starting preschool too!) I was trying to figure out what to do to celebrate since Alex’s preschool doesn’t hold a formal graduation, and I think I’ve found the prefect solution. I’m going to let him dress up as his ultimate career goal, and give him a little photo shoot to celebrate this phase of life. Any guesses what he’ll be dressed as? Hint: it’s SUPER.
