Stick with the people who bring out the magic in you, not the madness. there was once a time where i was surrounded by madness – with those putting me in my place, telling me idk how to communicate effectively, urging me to fix a laundry list of issues i had – and just dulling out my shine to the max. i was so enraged inside bc i know i’m a good and capable person, but if you hear something enough, you begin to question yourself. am i wrong? do i not know myself? do i actually have these problems? i eventually left that place and in hindsight, it was def like THE WORST situation i could ever be in since it fucked SO hard with my mental health lol BUT going through that experience taught me a lot of things… it reminded me how strong i actually am, to not to let others define me, and to stand for what i believe in. that place washed out my internal voice and shattered me to my core, but thanks to it i’ve been able to rebuild myself in a different, better way. leaving there jumpstarted my greatest venture of self-discovery and awareness that’s led me down a path of profound growth. so some good still came from that bad and i’m grateful for that. so if you ever feel like you’re not surrounded with the right team – with those that push you to be better, reach higher, and help you be your best you – then fuck em. find more supportive people. life is too short for bullshit and trust me, they’re not worth your time. you’re worth so much more.
