Spent the weekend under the stars and the (crescent) moon so here’s a pic of the stars and moons. 13 moons chiseled into the rock face for 13 moons in a given year possibly used as a lunar calendar. Above are 2.5 hours of startrails as they rotate around Polaris. Had a bit of sidelight from the setting moon but used a tad of artificial light to illuminate the petroglyph face. This one’s been on my list for a while so happy to execute my vision for this spot. More trails/milk from this weekend to come as they get edited.

Important gear for astro photography - bug spray!
Living in a city like New York has many benefits, but you hardly get to see stars. Star trails and Milky Way photography have been on my list for a very long time. I finally got the opportunity to get these during the Memorial Day weekend.
Captured 150 images over 90 minutes and blended them in #StarStax after basic editing in Lightroom.
