I do so many things to earn my living but there are two central themes to them, Teaching & Events and both are rooted in my passion for entrepreneurship. . . I didn't just choose them randomly, I was purposive in my choice of them. . . . How, you ask? I did my personal SWOT ANALYSIS. . . Personal SWOT analysis is a great way to discover what your STRENGTHS are, to identify your WEAKNESSES, discover your OPPORTUNITIES and recognize your THREATS. . . Let me cite some examples: . . I love talking, I enjoy meeting people, I easily replicate craft work once I see and study them, I am creative, I love teaching, I have my first and second degrees in Education, I love writing. These are some of my STRENGTHS. . . How have they informed my choice of businesses? . . My love for talking, meeting people and travelling? . . I speak to earn money now. I have almost finished resgistering @tosinteaches Tosin Teaches Consult with CAC for online and physical classes and consultation. It didn't just start now, I was part of the team that trained some selected NYSC staff officials in Lagos and Abuja in 2009/2010, I was paid, it wasn't free. . . Also, my creativity strength and flair for organization led me to designing & embellishing, wrapping, printing & branding, coordinating events as means of earning income under DAP Multiservice @dapevents @wrapitservices @tarmycakes . . Recently, close associates have opened my eyes to see I could be good in multilevel marketing. I read about it, studied it, asked questions and I found out, they were right. How does that relate to our SWOT & Business choice? . . She said several times that one needs to play at one's core strength and outsource one's weaknesses. You need to identify what you are best at, run with it & play at it. . . Doing so will enable you perform exellently & give your best. When you continually give your best and you are excellent at what you do, people will need you. When people need you, whether they like you or don't like you, they will seek you to patronize you. . . She also admonished entrepreneurs to be good people with great character as this is a very important determinant of how far people will go to refer your service. You need to like people genuinely & not just for what they buy from you. . . If you are yet to carry out your SWOT Analysis exercise, please do so. You can download SWOT worksheet online for the exercise. . . Knowing your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats will enable you sieve through options easily and in turn choose the best fit for you. . . As much as every opportunity is great, not every opportunity is for you. If it does not align with your purpose, kindly say next! . .
