Isn’t Spring a weird time of year as a teacher? I feel so connected to my students and see how connected they are to each other. But also, we’re all driving each other crazy. Things are going smoothly because my students know our routines so well... and then sometimes they’re not, because we all have spring fever. I’m sad that “my” students will be moving on soon, but also counting down to summer break. Some days I think “How can I keep doing this job and stay sane?” and some days I think “How could I ever stop?” ‍♀️ Anyone else having the Spring struggles

Today we had a gender reveal in our classroom! I absolutely loved sharing this special moment with my students. Their excitement leading up to this experiment was so sweet, and their reaction was amazing! I love these kiddos so much! Oh yeah, and Baby Johnson is a GIRL!

Excuse those nails #teachinginspring BUT I wanted to share with you all what took me 2.5 years to finally do. Ever find yourself 1 minute before an IEP meeting without a gen ed teacher and you go to their room “Hey! Did you see the meeting notice? You’re scheduled for ____’s IEP meeting” and proceed to hear them say they didn’t see it and are not able to come in.. yeah, me too ‍♀️ I printed these out on bright paper, place it in the teachers box a couple of weeks before the meeting and voila I have a lot less of those conversations ☝
