On March 5th 2019, Hwang Cheol (Teach North Korean Refugees Global Education Center - TNKR's Fellow in Human Dignity) spoke at an EU conference about the human rights situation in North Korea. The conference took place at the European Parliament in Brussels and was hosted by MEP László TŐKÉS, EPP. In his speech, Hwang passionately called on the EU members to join him in demanding his father's repatriation, so that he can bring his father home while he is still alive.
