#alassautdespaves Le lancement de ce challenge par @goodbooks_goodfriends et @manonlitaussi m’a fait réaliser que j’avais depuis un petit moment (et en particulier depuis le lancement de mon compte #bookstagram) tendance à me tourner vers de petits romans, plus vite Ius, alors que j’aime les romans fleuves, dans lesquels l’auteur prend le temps de développer un univers, de digresser, de nous faire traverser les années ou bien encore de donner vie à une myriade de personnages. . . C’est donc avec plaisir que j’ai fouillé dans ma bibliothèque pour en exhumer quelques briques, dans des genres plutôt différents. Je n’aurai probablement le temps de toutes en venir à bout, mais en lire une par mois me semble déjà un beau défi. . . Si vous avez des avis sur ce par quoi je devrais (ou pas) commencer (notemment sur Jérusalem, qui m’intimide vraiment avec ses 1200 pages), n’hésitez pas. How can such an uneventful first sentence stick me with after 15 huge tomes? But there's more. This is the picture that started my bookstagram journey, not so long ago. It's now gone because I switched to a normal picture format. (Don't ask about the original format ). I want to ask you... Do you remember your first picture on instagram? Maybe you can just scroll down and find it. I intend to let all my pictures here from now on and the reason I switched around at the beginning was that I experimented with what works for me. Details of the Mord Sith. - This cosplay was crazy to make, but it would have been even crazier if I didn't have John Wik's printable patterns and very detailed instruction video on YouTube. The entire costume has 380 eyelets which run up the tights, arms, mid-back and sides of top. The tights and bottom we're made with 4 way stretch spandex from Spandex World. The armor was made with vinyl from Mood Fabrics. Before cutting the armor out I used a spray adhesive to fuse the vinyl with EVA foam (placed in middle) and a woven cotton fabric. If I were to do it again, I would use felt like recommended in the video instead of the cotton for backing. Creating the corset was my favorite part. I had to resize the pattern to fit me, but it was very easy to tweak since it was so clear and thoroughly made. I searched far and wide on the internet but couldn't find screen accurate corset buckles that weren't an arm and a leg to purchase. That's when I took to Thingiverse and found @valentinecostumes Ciri buckle 3d print design that was pretty dang close. Note to everyone out there, 3d printed buckles work great! I discovered with this costume that my skin hates spandex. Also, the tights pattern wasn't the best so I have some fitting issues lol. ANYWAY.
