Magnolia sirindhorniae - Princess Sirindhorn’s magnolia. Flowering only at April and May - but it will be quite difficult to see and smell the flowers because the tree hight can be over 25 meter. And can be found only in 3 Thai provinces. Not too far from Bangkok - up to the North, in Lopburi province at this monopoly have around 500 trees. This species is extremely rare and can easily extinct- because of big size - than bigger size of plant, than less ability to adapt to changes it have. And all those trees right now grow outside of National Park area, it unprotected zone. That’s why in this year, botanical experts decided to select it as priority species for conservation. At this moment at IUCN Red List this tree have Endangered status. Anyway, there have no law to protect rare species from selling it - so it’s quite easy to buy this tree and have it at your home. It’s legal. Same, as legal to eat Endangered species of Eagle Ray, this just happened at popular TV show - Master Chef Thailand. It’s unbelievable, but Chef who cooked it can’t be punished - because it’s legal. Why law updated so slow? НЕ ГОРИТ В ОГНЕ... ⠀ Франжипани ( она же плюмерия) - род тропических деревьев семейства Кутровые. Цветы этих деревьев встречаются и белые с жёлтым, и розовые, и оранжевые и даже фиолетовые! ⠀ В Тайланде эти цветы можно встретить повсюду! А какой от них аромат!!! Так не пахнет ни один цветок в мире! Это моё эстетическое наслаждение Сколько я наделала фоточек....ох, это лишь малая часть ⠀ А вот, интересные факты об этих цветах: Плюмерия - национальный цветок Бали и Лаоса, символ Никарагуа. В Буддизме плюмерия - символ бессмертия, у древних майя - символ вожделения. Название 'франжипани' восходит к 16 веку - это имя итальянского дворянина, который создал духи с использованием аромата этих цветов. У поленезийских народов женщины носят эти цветы в волосах (как и русские туристы, ага) . но носят не просто для украшения, а для указания семейного статуса. Замужние прикреаляют цветок над левым ухом, а ищущие вторую половинку - над правым Срезанные черенки могут храниться в свежем виде месяцами и поэтому высоко ценятся на мировом рынке. Цаеты плюмерии обладают необычной способностью : они не горят в огне, горят лишь при температура выше 500 градусов.
