So this is my next post. This is Empty Chairs at Empty Tables from the musical Les Miserables @lesmizofficial @lesmizus. This was filmed back in February for the semifinals of the westend calling competition. Although this is a sad song I love singing it and I hope you guys enjoy it!! I miss “Mimpi” (A Midsummer Night's Dream) so badly! . It was finally that evening we got to picked my costumes! The nicer ones has no size for me but the final pick was as glam as Egeus! (this time Egeus was Hermia's mother) . I remember I was the last one to be casted for the last role during the casting week. I mean, if I have nicer figure that semester, I think I might be able to have my dream wedding with Theseus, ahaha! So, as that happened, I knew I had to something so I could play a role that has dialogues and stands out on stage. It was down between my friend and I, and the director asked us to read the first lines of Egeus' and each of us will take turn to present. I know for a reason, that I should not be reading the lines but throwing in emotions the best I possibly could! . It's my first time preparing for a theatre play, and never in my life I've acted. I was eager to stand out and yes again, I tried understanding the lines and with the help of Mr. @mqawiem , I was able to visualise movements and mood (although beat by beat is a thing I should've considered that day/night). My friend presented first and so my observation leads me to a confirmation that I was at least wanting to get the role, not just doing for the sake of the director's request. And voila, I'm the mother of Hermia for the next few months before our performance early December. Going back and forth between Meisner and Stanislavski is no easy task. . . I would not be writing this if it's not because of YOUR support, each one of YOU! my dream is to be the voice of people who never had the chance to. Hence, Boal's has always been my favourite, alongside Brechtian's has helped me alot by relaying the ideas with or without anyone noticing it. I thank you so so much for all the love I received.
