I love discovering new pens I saw these Uni Emott Fineliners on @uniball_uk ‘s IG a few weeks ago and have since been on the hunt for them. It took a while, but I finally found them on @cultpens ‘s website and immediately bought the 40-pen set. I absolutely adore writing with them and they are slowly becoming my favorite pens. Sharing with you guys some of the flourishes I use for my minuscule ascenders. Certainly, you may expand those flourishes to create something bigger—the possibilities are endless. I usually work on the letter form before doing the flourishing, as seen in the video. Will be covering this and more in my Flourish & Embellish class!

Showing you guys my new favourite Procreate Brush! Getting tons of questions about it so here's a quick video that captures the random "Light" strokes it creates. · The real challenge with this kind of Brush is obviously the texture but also to create a nice balance between each individual stroke. Too much "Light" will result in almost invisible letterforms whereas too much "Dark" is going to make the Brush seem like any other ordinary Ink Brush. So it is super important to figure out a happy medium between "Light" + "Dark" Issa real struggle but the artworks you can create with this Brush all look incredible! And yes, it's going be included in the next Brush Pack

Saturday was a day I’ll never forget. Since November 2018 my dad has been dealing with health issues that we had not been able to figure out the source until a couple weeks ago. He has iron overload and the number one treatment is donating blood. Saturday he did his first donation but his body was too weak to handle it. Most people with zero health issues get woozy from donating and he was so severely dehydrated that it was too much for him. He passed out at the blood bank after the donation and after an hour and a half of trying to get him back to normal he finally just got in the car to go home. When he got here my mom was taking to the room on a seated walker and he passed out. This time he fell face first into our concrete floor. He was out cold before he knew it because he didn’t even put his hands up to catch himself. My mom started screaming and I ran to see what had happened. He wasn’t moving at all when I got to the hallway so I flipped him over to check his breathing. He was breathing and woke up but his pulse was so weak that I couldn’t find it. My mom was freaking out so much I sent her to the door to wait for the ambulance. In February he had 4 levels of his neck fused so my biggest concern was holding his head still and making sure he could move his fingers and toes. Because his face broke his fall and he had glasses on, every edge of the glasses split his skin. He had massive cuts across his nose, cheeks, and forehead and thank God the glasses didn’t break. As we sat there waiting I prayed over him and I declared 2 things. There would be zero damage to his neck and his blood work would come back normal. When we got to the hospital his CT scan came back that his neck looked great and his bloodwork came back normal! When it comes to prayer, we must declare things in faith according to the promises of God. The Lord stands over His word to see it performed. Because of his inability to sit up without passing out they admitted him and gave him fluids. He had 6 iv fluids before he even had to go to the bathroom! They ended up giving him 9 bags and he was able to come home Monday evening. Please keep my dad in your prayers! Declaring HEALED & WHOLE!
