Shout out to the amazing Tanja Beer (@ecoscenography) - community artist and lead designer of #TheLivingPavilion. . The Living Pavilion is the seventh installation in Tanja's award-winning series The Living Stage. While each design is specific to site and community, the central premise is one combining horticulture, sustainable design and community engagement to transform urban spaces into thriving ecological and social gathering places. . In 2017, Tanja was invited to work with New York's premier eco-theatre company @superheroclubhouse in collaboration with University Settlement, XDEA and the Lower East Side NYC community. Over 6 weeks, the asphalt lined park of The Meltzer Towers courtyard was transformed into a space of lush greenery with vibrant art installations and eclectic performances that celebrated the community's identity and potential. .
