The twist of a character's true identity was spoiled for me in both Siege and Storm and Legendary, by people who I guess thought they were vague but were not. If you use a quote by or about a character when the book is calling them Name A, but you attribute it to Name B, when I get to that quote, I NOW KNOW BEFORE THE BIG REVEAL. Ugh. So I started this on vacation. After being briefly baffled by her writing style, I googled her and found that she is poet and then it made more sense. It’s a historical fiction novel, but it wasn’t really my taste in literature.
