All current unreleased #Thundertypefoundry #fonts. Some of them are in active development: 1. #Sovex — a working name. Ultracondensed sans with reversed stress 2. #Ausstellung — a working name, an early XX century German antiqua 3. #Supremus. This is an early version of what later became #Ardent. Based on works of Sergey #Chekhonin 4. #Rektor — a fun geometric sans 5. #Tiberino family that includes many fonts. #Serifs were used in the map of the Rome city center, #Sans WF were used in the Roman metro map and the map of Italian railways. Очередной новый набросок нового шрифта. Да, пока далеко от идеала, да, ради диагоналей пришлось отказаться от полной моноширинности, да распределение контраста еще править. Но идея по-моему интересная. Ну и название я крутое придумал. Шрифты я, конечно же, не забросил! Просто изменения, достойные показа в соцсетях появляются не так часто, как хотелось бы. Порой, мне кажется, что шрифты у меня живые: вот, Аусштелюнгу категорически не нравились новостильные засечки. Зато очень понравились венские домовые таблички. Решил я вместо новостильной антиквы делать некое подобие ленточной. И наклон овалов кое-где появился. Time to post #typedesign stuff! And yes, I’m resuming bilingual posts. Ausstellung typeface will come in three flavours: Conformist (the most conventional design), Original (the original ideas of German antiquas), Spartan (jagged upright italic) and Punk (name says it all). I’ve started this project inspired by the German Antiquas and various versions of Lateinisch typeface. Since then, I’ve delved into research of the origins of Lateinisch — the Elzevires. On the other hand, I realize the todays needs for a contemporary serif face and after all I’ve come to these 4 distinct flavours with each having it’s own purpose and role in design. Suddenly, a new typeface! I was doing a project where I wanted to set all headings in some extended sans with closed apertures. I’ve tried Druk by Commercial Type but it wasn’t wide enough. So I’ve done this one — Extruder. Quite a saucy bastard :) . . Внезапно, нарисовался новый шрифт! Делал один проект, в котором хотелось в заголовки пустить сверхширокий и сверхзакрытый гротеск. Попробовал Друк — недостаточно широкий. Решил сам нарисовать, пока только прописные, ибо именно они и были нужны. Browsing across all those unfinished projects, I've stumbled upon a condensed sans, with damn well-closed apertures. I've even used it once, in a book cover. And I said — hey! That would be a great companion for my Extruder! No shit, no interpolations, just a straight companion! So I've caught that fire of interest and adapted that sketch-type to match the forms of the Extruder. Yes, that's a yet another "coming soon" but at least it's a lot of fun! . . . Листая все эти бесконечные назаконченные проекты, наткнулся на один сверхсжатый гротеск c закрытыми апертурами. Как-то я его даже использовал для одной книжной обложки. И чёрт, он же так круто подошел бы к Экструдеру, как шрифт-компаньон. Безо всяких дурацких интерполяций!
