Quick review for the SHF Iron Man mark 85. Swipe for more pics ➡ I really love this design and color scheme, futuristic looking armor but with classic Iron Man colors. That's why I couldn't wait to have this guy in hand, but when I got him I couldn't help but feel let down. That was because of 2 things mostly: his price and his paint job. Price is ridiculously high, I got him for around 110 usd, cheapest one I could find but still waay too overpriced. The End Game hype really did a number on this guy, the pre order price is only around 65 usd, but mine (and many others') got canceled due to stock shortage. So if I want to get him I don't have any choice but to pay premium, and the figure's quality certainly does not justify that high a price. He still has great articulation and decent accessories but what really pisses me off is the piss poor paint job. You can't see it in these pictures I took, but in hand the gold paint is terrible, especialy the ones on the thighs. looks so cheap and poorly applied, I can't believe it's not a knock off. Very disappointed. And the seam line that goes in front of the thigh instead of the sides like any other shf Iron Mans really killed the aesthetics on this guy, just terrible design choice. Sorry if this sounds more like a rambling than an actual review, but for 110 usd this is not acceptible, hell even at 60 usd it's still bad. So in summary: great articulation, decent accessories, good paint job on the red color, VERY VERY BAD paint job on the gold, and the market price is way way overpriced. If you don't like the suit design then it's an easy pass, the shf mark 50 has a lot better paint job than this guy and the price is more realistic.
