Today makes 28 sessions with my coach @mcaninch_sp , whom I began training with 6 weeks post ACL reconstruction surgery (with a hamstring graft for your reference).
Wondering what session No 30 will bring.
Perhaps a trail run? (I did run 3x 5 minute intervals today ).
Or a pizza party?

PS: I am both gluten and dairy free so I will require a cauliflower crust and a your thoughts and prayers during my stomach ache.

Unable to run, cycle, kick, ski or jump— it’s been a bit of a challenge to get conditioning in around my knee injury. Thats where my @bruteforcesandbag is going to come in handy during my ACL recovery. This thing is an ass kicker! Here’s what I did yesterday:
_ ⏺ Warmup x 5 rounds
5 neutral grip pullups
10 dips
60 second plank -
1️⃣ Circuit 1 x 4 rounds
20 DB lateral raises
20 bent over sandbag rows
20 leg raises w/ sandbag press
20 total KB windmills
20 sandbag muscle cleans -
2️⃣ Circuit 2 x 4 rounds
25 second battling rope
45 second sandbag ground to shoulder - ❤️Average HR 144 x 55 minutes - ACL reconstruction surgery is in 4-6 weeks, btw.
11 weeks post op and I still get excited when I see that knee flexion.
Bonus: I’m gettin’ dat booty back, too.
If you’re recovering from a knee injury, knee surgery, or anything else requiring a slow and methodical rehab, I HIGHLY suggest you invest in a physical therapist or coach who can WRITE YOU A DAILY TRAINING PROGRAM. If I had relied only on the physical therapist’s guidelines provided by my health care provider I know I would be,
a) no where the physical condition I am in now and,
b) EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED
Thankful @mcaninch_performance was recommended to me from the start and I was able to work with him beginning 3 weeks post-op. Take your rehab SERIOUSLY. For me, my mindset is I am training to beat my former self. I’m GOING to be a faster runner, better skier, and have a juicier booty. #TRAINACCORDINGLY
