Working on my #HOMwork and wanted to try something different to get a little texture in to my letters... I used the native oil paint brush in Procreate but found it a little too unpredictable and results are a little splodgy so will probably end up redoing it ▂ Ayatollah - From Within

I won’t lie, I originally started sketching something about working from home with a dog on my lap and a smile on my face... but I downgraded my goal to something hopefully a little more achievable in the next few months. Oh hi! I don't know if I've done this before but this #homwork assignment was to introduce yourself in a few short sentences, so without further ado... Maria Harman is a graphic designer and self-taught hand letterer who combines her love of humor, type and superfluous flourishes to create retro & flowery pieces. Her work is usually inspired by anything from her sarcastic sense of humor to the flowers she stopped to smell earlier. She's constantly trying to push her comfort zone, whether it's color palettes or letterforms, to continuously create something fresh. Worst advice I’ve ever received re dealing with my anxiety was “just ask yourself ‘what’s the worst that could happen?’”. That question is a rabbit hole of d o o m Instead, the last few months I’ve been using CBD oil... it hasn’t improved all of my symptoms but I’d been having mild panic attacks on a regular basis after a car accident last year, since using CBD oil though I haven’t had another one! (I get mine from @provacancbd, for anyone interested in giving it a go #notanad.
