The 2 months of working at Glyndebourne were rather challenging - and they definitely wouldn’t be possible without help from so many people... Thank you to @harpsussex for lending me her beautiful harp (the lovely Salvi you see in this picture). Being able to fly for the performances and not having to drive 10 hours each way at any point was such a massive help... and the Beast (that’s his name!) was an absolute joy to play! Thank you also to @harrieharpist who offered to lend me her instrument - I regret not meeting your harp in the end, but I so much appreciate your generosity! Many thanks to @pilgrim_harps for lending me one of their trolleys for the whole 2 months! Despite the harp staying in Glyndebourne it had to be transported in and out of its spot between the performances, and sadly you can’t get far with a pedal harp without a proper trolley - so thank you very much for helping me out with this! Thank you to the many good friend who had me staying with them (you know who you are!). I wish I was able to spend more time with you, but I’m glad for all the moments when we could see each other despite my antisocial work hours! To everyone who let me use their harps+homes+broadband so I could continue with the Instagram and Facebook Lives despite being in a different place every Friday! Last but (absolutely not!) least - thank you to the most amazing harp buddy Olivia @15secondharp for helping me with with virtually all of the above, plus driving me around on numerous occasions, helping out with broken strings, unpacking the harp on the not-so-enjoyable evenings when the trains were not helpful at all (oh Southern Trains...) and having me practically living with her for the last two months! ❤️ I’m so incredibly lucky to know all these kind souls. From pop, rock, to bossa nova, disco, country, to as far as Chinese Opera and Bollywood. (well except that I never really liked jazz ‍♀️) Sometimes I just leave my Spotify on random. . . Some time ago, I was packing at home, waiting for the next student to come. Recently I’m on an @agaseen playlist (a female Cantopop singer) and I was trying hard not to singalong loudly to “關於失戀的問題～這小問題～” Suddenly there went “ding dong”, the student who came half-an-hour early was standing outside my door, with this bewildered expression, and uttered “You listen to such kinds of songs too?” (乜你都聽呢啲歌㗎咩？！) Yes and why not! I’m not going to be ashamed of it! . And actually when we were running our CWB popup shop, we played angelic Xavier de Maistre during shop hours, and immediately switched to @blackpinkofficial after 8pm. ‍ . What do you expect? We have played for more than 100 events and weddings since founded.
