I absolutely love veils. They’re one of my favorite accessories, especially when it comes to photos! Our couples choose to break so many traditions on their wedding days, so it’s really fun to see the traditions they choose to keep, like wearing a cathedral-length veil or cutting a cake. - Brides, if you’re on the fence I definitely recommend getting a veil. You don’t have to wear it the whole time, in fact almost all of our brides pack their veil out and we put it on for a few photos! I’ve found the thin woven silk ones are a perfect lightweight texture that packs well and doesn’t wrinkle.

New blog! 5 minutes before we met up with Nina and James for their session, the entire overlook was covered in a cloud (and had been for hours). We couldn’t even see the trees 30 feet in front of us! We discussed back up options, driving to a different spot, and so on, but then right as they arrived Callen spotted a bit of blue sky and insisted we run out there immediately! As we arrived, the cloud layer sunk right below us covering everything but Half Dome. Inversions aren’t super common in Yosemite Valley, and this was my first time seeing one so perfect! We all just about lost our minds for the next hour or so as the clouds danced around, covering and uncovering Half Dome. I don’t enter many photo contests, but I have always entered this one and was so honored to be featured in the final gallery last year. After they publish the finalists and you get linked by them, they typically get re-shared and blogged by tons of big blogs like Cosmo Mag, Huff Post + Buzzfeed. These links to your site are SO valuable and can have a big, lasting impact on your website’s SEO! Just a friendly reminder that life isn’t always as it seems!!!! This past month has been ✨ROUGH✨ for me. ——— Tonight my camera accidentally fell off my harness, resulting in the breaking of my $1300 lens. This is not even a week after I bought another $1400 camera body because my first one needed repairs. Fingers crossed this one doesn’t need it now tooOur car received an $800 ticket on it yesterday, and two weeks ago I spent $2000 on my heath. Pheeew what else right?! ——— This post is not at all to pity or feel bad for me. I just want to bring light to how social media is not at all what people “post” to be. Lavish lifestyles and endless ✨happiness.✨ News flash, that’s not real life at all. We all go through trials that break us down.
