It took me so long to apply to be an English teacher for kids in China. ‍ I thought about it for at LEAST 6 months. . Which is how long I’ve officially worked for them now! & this week I taught my 500th class!✨‍♀️ I’ve officially transported myself to a kiddos living room - all the way across the globe - while home in my jammies - FIVE HUNDRED TIMES. . & I’m not sick of it. I’m not burnt out. & pretty much can never quit because I have best friends over there I would miss way too dang much. Luna, Candy, Nick, Kevin, Nikki... & on & on. . Today I got to spend Valentine’s Day morning with two of my FAVORITE little gal pals. One we learned the stories of Paul Bunyon & Johnny Appleseed. One we learned about neighborhoods! (Post office, library, resteraunt, etc!) It was fun to hear about hers. & we played a Valentine’s game. . I teach anywhere between 6-12 year olds. I thought beginner level would be my jam - since my background is preschool! But I got hired for upper level & I can’t imagine it any other way! They are SO fun to talk to! (I teach PRIMARILY 9-11 year olds, who are coming in with pretty rockin’ English skills already!) . Moral of all this - I never would have known this was a job, if I hadn’t seen someone mention it on Facebook. So gotta pay it forward! I love to teach! It is definitely who I am. Whether I am up early teaching English to my sweet students in China, teaching pre-algebra to my 6th graders, or teaching all about nutrition and mindset...I LOVE it all! . . For me the BEST part of all three of these teaching gigs is the people! Because at the end of every single day, I know I have impacted lives in a positive way and that my friends is what brings me the most JOY! . .
