Getting serious with a steep hike up to Mt. Rose. 3500 feet of gain over three miles, we got to the summit in 1:40(excluding a rest or two) I did the asent fasted. Great views up top. Seeing the mountain never gets old, even from afar. #hiking #hike #summer #hikingadventures #pacnw #mountrainier #mountains #nationalpark #nationalforests #pacnw #optoutside #fatadapted #fatfueledathlete #mtrose #lakecushman #watrails #olympicnationalpark #cheesin #workout #alwaysparty @washingtontrails
⠀
When asked why do I love mountains so much, my answer is always the same. I love the connection I feel with myself, between every drop of sweat, every bit of struggle and self doubt on my way up, simply turns into pure joy when I reach my destination. It puts everything into perspective. I cannot imagine a different life than this one, spent outdoors. So... I’ll just be here, choosing mountains! ⛰ thanks for the @catetam
A bit late.... whoops!
Last week I did a thing!
Instead of racing unprepared and injuring myself or struggling and hating life I instead preplanned my run with @lis_grinham
We wanted to have fun, and get it done!! We wanted to enjoy ourselves and that is exactly what we did!
We walked and sung, we took photos, we called my mum, and we finished and had an amazing time (with a few swear words in between)

ARE YOU INTO MEDITATION?
The more I practice meditation and stillness the more I realize how much It benefits me, not just my physical body, but thoughts and spirit.
This morning’s meditation was particularly a sensorial overload.
Tingling on the upper lip, flashing of chakras colors, a total minimal diaphragmatic involvement and I even heard ocean (yes, in the middle of a echoey quiet room. Crazy!
Inhalation’s and exhalations became almost minimal.
At that point I had my mind in a total blank space but then the first distraction came in. . . .
I got a bit nervous , I started feeling a strange sensation between my eyebrows or in the middle of my forehead, well... that quickly started taking me out of the stage I was.
I started scowling my eyebrows as if I was trying to shake something off.
It faded for a few seconds but then it came back. It wasn’t pain , but I certainly can’t specifically describe it. I was seeing whitish waves moving in towards the middle of my forehead.
I’m noticing a slight drop of my chin.
Then the #shoulders followed .
Just when I thought I was in total relaxation, I realized I wasn’t fully there since my shoulders were still rigid.
Then, the #guidedmeditation comes to and end and I almost want to dive deeper into this that took some serious effort and concentration. I don’t want to open my eyes.
I think it’s be safe to say I felt “sleepy” yet I wasn’t.
Who of you have ever experienced that I’d love to hear about it... all I can think of now is I want to try to get there again and defeat the sense of fear.
Another perfect example of how the fear of the #unknownfact can mess up with pretty much anything and keep us from expanding. . .
