So, I landed in #Romania in #clujnapoca to go to #jsheroes conference. It is a conference dedicated to #opensourse and it has a bunch of really cool speakers! Most of them are contributors to very famous frameworks such as #gatsbyjs or #vuejs Some are creators of really cool open source tools like #codesandbox I attended a workshop about ReactJS performance optimization and learned a bunch of really cool things! So, naturally, I’ll share them with you! 1. You can configure webpack to do a lot of optimization for you! 2. You can use code splitting and suspense in order to dynamically preload modules into your React app to boost your app s performance. 3. Always optimize your images! (I personally prefer imageoptim since it’s a great tool and I know how it works under the hood). Interesting discovery is that gifs are less optimized than videos, which means uploading a video instead of a gif is less memory consuming (mind blowing ) you might have noticed that on Twitter (check out the real extension of gifs they use there) 4. Make sure you minify your code for production! (Just in case) 5. I will be working on my final project for Unit 2 of my Front End Web Dev Course @Teamtreehouse. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ 2nd. To Start Unit 3 -> JS-Basics <- Finally!!!... question on this one: is JS hard?⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ 3rd. Keep spending at least 3 hours coding+learning+practicing per day so I can finish the course in 4 to 5 months.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ I have heard that JavaS is super hard, so now I'm afraid... but... I like that type of feeling, when you know that something is very hard.
