At @werisefest, I felt a strong wave of change, leading into a very bright future. Artists of all disciplines came together to express their gifts, the kids + teens involved were so determined making the event go smoothly and the vibrations were at an all time HIGH!!! It was an honor to lead a mural with my art comrades, Sara @sara_berlin115 & Dani @lil_monstar_; share space with my past EEAP team Ebony @ebonyoshun + Travis @_travelight (Theadford @theadfordaston, you were missed! ); reunite with my soul sisters JoAnna @jocodances, Rochelle @see_chelle86 & Raquel @allofche; and to witness all of this culture explode on this very block! Here’s a little video of my table at #DuvalGems last night. I want to thank my sis @j.iman for recording and making sure I got decent footage of my showcase because after a few shots of blurriness mess I about gave up (Her performance was so great btw ⭐️) Thank you @werisemvmt @nicosuavalicious for putting together such a great event and for also giving artists like myself an opportunity to showcase their work. It was nothing but positive vibes, people supporting one and another, and great vocals and I was more than happy to take photos of it all ❤️ DUVAL HAS SO MUCH TALENT, btw ✨ SN: I got these small prints from Free Prints to little to nothing. If you’re a photographer and you’re looking for a cheap and affordable way to showcase, that’s the way to go. I was a little afraid because I didn’t have huge prints, because I don’t have it like that , but my table actually turned out pretty great because the quality and detail wasn’t lost. There was an amazing turnout for #werisejax ‘s very first planning meeting. So many talented artists came alongside peace motivated members of the community in order to start laying the groundwork for what will surely be an amazing event! Thank you to everyone that came out!
