Yesterday’s SOTN (Shave of the Night) • Razor - @edwinjaggerusa 3ONE6 Blade - Feather Brush - Simpson Special 1 Bowl - @captainschoiceproducts Copper Heavyweight Preshave - @edwinjagger Shave Cream - @edwinjagger Lime/Pomegranate Aftershave Balm - @edwinjagger Lime/Pomegranate • I decided to take the plunge and use all the included software and hardware together that @edwinjaggerusa sent to me. Performance was a mixed bag, and to be honest I didn’t care to much for the EJ software. The shave cream was the best of the samples I received, though there was almost no residual slickness and post shave was average for a cream. With shave creams you usually sacrifice in a number of categories, but the almost complete lack of residual surprised me. The cream had much more lime than pomegranate and I really liked the scent. However, when using the aftershave balm the pomegranate overpowered the lime and made for a very odd smell that I didn’t care for. However, I noticed that some of that sample for the balm had leaked in transit so that may have played a part in it. The preshave felt good, but had a highly medicinal menthol smell which I didn’t care for. But, the silver lining here, the 3ONE6 continued to perform remarkably well, despite the subpar software. I will be doing one last shave before posting my final review of the 3ONE6, so that is coming VERY soon! I also received some information regarding the razor from EJ. I will be covering this in my video review and podcast, but will also cover that here. Price on the 3ONE6 will be $119 MSRP and release will be in a few weeks.
