Somedays you just want to eat all the beefs and drink all the wines. Easy when it’s @flannerybeef Picanha and American Wagyu NY strip paired with top notch rhones/Bordeaux/burgundy
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Thanks for hosting @adventures_of_little_big_boy. Thanks for the wines @hungry.md @brownbagg.ed ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Didn’t tag @harmacist in the thanks cause he didn’t bring wine or food. I also drove his scrub ass to dinner.

Notes to follow.

Château Marjosse Entre-Deux-Mers 2017 At Scotts Mayfair a couple of nights ago. An excellent wine to go with seafood at an excellent price. Pale yellow in the glass, needs a little time to open out for the full flavours of pineapple and tropical fruits with hints of pear and minerals.

'54% Sémillon/Muscadelle, 36% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Sauvignon Gris . Pierre 'Cheval Blanc and Yquem' Lurton's home farm. A bit more interest on the nose than most. Some gum quality and real richness on the palate. More extract than most. Well done, Good value'. Jancis Robinson on the 2007

'Château Marjosse is a small Bordeaux property that is fast gaining a reputation as one of the region's best value wines. It was bought in 1997 by the régisseur of Château Cheval Blanc, Pierre Lurton, a prominent member of the Bordeaux wine dynasty of the same name. In just 3 years he has earned the wines of Marjosse considerable, and much deserved, recognition.' www.bbr.com

When I decided which kind of wine is my kind of wine I decided that the most important feature has to be the elegance. This pic represents very well this idea. Light as the sunset light, soft as the flying seed, natural as the uncut lawn.

Dinner last night = 2014 Seneca Lake Chardonnay from Osmote Wine @osmotewine .... And this Greek/Middle Eastern Tostada type of thing
The Chardy? Beautiful layers of fresh, restrained, mellowed stonefruit. Wax and smoke, tang and acid. Larger format barrels and no MLF. Killer, killer Chardy. The best oaked Chardonnay in NY, in the NY wine competition a couple of years back. A convincing Chardy for anyone that writes off oaked Chardonnay. This is Burgundian beautiful deliciousness.
The Dinner? A Greek ish meets Mexican tostadas type of thing. Veggies: chopped kalamata olives, cucumber, tomatoes, red onion, garlic. Plus lemon juice, olive oil, herbs de Provence, oregano, salt, pepper, and a *crapload* of feta. Grilled chicken, chopped, with similar marinade as the dressing. I added hummus to the base, because the Mexican in me was like, "this shit is just gonna fall off, you need some bean type of thing all up in there."
So, hummus made the most sense. Could also go... thicker tzatziki, thicker Greek yogurt, or Labneh, something to hold toppings on, because that tostada is gonna crack like a taco shell. Can be vegetarian, without the chicken!
But that Chardy tho ...
Thoughts? What would you pair with this meal? ⬇️I almost went SB or Pinot Blanc that underwent full Malo...
