First time having a Sauvignon Blanc from Pouilly Fumé.
This was a good Sauvignon Blanc with bright apples and a nice acidity.
I paired this an orange zested tilpia, roasted green beans, and garlic roasted potatoes.

2013 Iron Horse Wedding Cuvée, Russian River Valley Brut Sparkling- Blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay, 3 years on lees. Current disgorging December 2016.
Fruit forward with a fair amount of yeasty notes, mixed with candied ginger, golden apple, hint of strawberry and raspberry. Dry on the palate, with high acidity but showed a gentle mouthfeel with its fine mousse, like a graceful brush of the bride’s veil scented with Diptyque L'Eau de Neroli.

☁️ State of Mind: Champagne taste on a Cava budget
✨ I decided to start learning about and exploring wine as my new year’s resolution this year, and one of my favorite discoveries has been Cava. Cava is a Spanish sparkling that follows the Champagne method in production, but is a fraction of the cost. This particular bottle is Brut Nature, so there is zero sugar added, making it very dry and crisp. The nose has notes of honey, jasmine and white flowers, with citrus notes coming through on the pallet. I also love that this bottle looks exactly like the poppin bottles emoji Bubbles are so fun and refreshing and it’s exciting to find an option that won’t break the bank.
