These banks are completely online with no brick and mortar location, no-fees, and extra benefits compared to regular banks. At the same time they are all FDIC insured with just as much flexibility as any bank other than no physical location. Where you save your money does matter when you start counting the pennies your low-yield saving account are offering. And when you compared it to the high-yield online savings account you might start wondering why you’ve wait this long. I personally do use these type of accounts to save for my emergency fund and long-term goals specifically.
